Approved Abilities Name: Hot Asian Chick Charm Level 1 Description: The hotness of Asian girls has manifested itself so much that it became an asset for battle. Requirements: Spirit 30 Effect: If Iseul's Spirit stat > Opponent's Spirit stat, then 1) lowers a male opponent's strength and endurance 10% of base stats and 2) lowers a female opponent's strength and endurance 5% of base stats. Cost: 0 Name: Boost Stacking Description: Iseul hacked the rules, but this ability only works for herself. I mean after a lot of training, Iseul has learned how to best utilize her strength and efficiently use boosts. Requirements: Be a hot Korean girl named Iseul. 100 INT. 100 hand to Hand. Effect: Instead of the lame-ass boosting system in place, Iseul gets each boost stacked one upon the other. Ex: (((((Base stat)1.2)1.5)2)) All stats except for Endurance and Spirit can be boosted. Stops working after EITHER Endurance or Spirit reaches 0. Cost: The opponent bitching about it. Otherwise, 15 Endurance and 10 Spirit per post. Pending Abilities Approved Techniques Name: Heavy Blow Level 1 Description: After much training, Iseul has learned how to harness her inner strength for her benefit. This allows Iseul to reach a slightly heightened state of fighting potential. Requirements: Strength 75; Hand to Hand 50 Effect: Iseul's base strength is increased by 15%. This increase goes before all other ability increases. Cost: 5 Endurance/Post Pending Techniques Approved Limit Breaks Pending Limit Breaks Edited by Lucifer, Nov 17 2009, 09:44 PM.

I think 25 spirit is too low, and you'll need to clarify what base stat you mean |

I'm going to rework the Hot Asian Chick Charm ability. The requirements are too high for what it does while comparing it to those new abilities I quoted. |

Just so you know, when I or another mod say approved unless blah blah blah, it means they are approved as is since a mod can disapprove them at their own discretion. Should have made that clear, sorry. |

First of all, how would an ability cost MP? Second of all, how would unrelated stats and skills to Iseul's fighting style factor in? That makes less sense than..well, I'm not going to go there. Edited by Rushipeo, Oct 31 2009, 11:59 AM.

Uh... You guys DO realize that the numbers come out EXACTLY the same, right? 1.1 * 1.2 * 1.3 * 1.4 * 1.5 = 3.60 1.5 * 1.4 * 1.3 * 1.2 * 1.1 = 3.60 100 * 1.2 * 1.5 * 2 = 100 * 2 * 1.5 * 1.2 |

Base strength 50. Three stackers: 25%, 50%, 100% The boards way of stacking: (50) + (50*.25) + (50*.5) + (50*1)= 137.5 50+12.5+25+50 Iseul's way of stacking with this ability ((((50)1.25)1.5)2) = 187.5 |

Reverse stacking makes no difference, because it'll come out the same when you multiple it either way. Anyways, this ability is is stacking, not adding the %s together and then multiplying. Base times the first boost. The result of that times the second boost. The result of that times the third boost. So on until there are no more boosts.

That's how the board system works. Your way of doing it. http://childrenofcrisis.com/topic/6584328/1/#new Base strength 50. Three stackers: 25%, 50%, 100% The boards way of stacking: (50) + (50*.25) + (50*.5) + (50*1)= 137.5 50+12.5+25+50 The board does not stack like that or four pieces of 25% barrier would immediately nullify all damage done. So ya, unless something horrifically significant has changed... that is not how the board works. At all. Iseul's way of stacking with this ability ((((50)1.25)1.5)2) = 187.5 ^^^^^^^ This is how the board one works as far as I can tell. It is also the EXACT same thing as 1.25 * 1.5 * 2 = 3.75 100 * 3.75 = 375 100 * 1.25 = 125 * 1.5 = 187.5 * 2 = 375 100 * 2 = 200 * 1.5 = 300 * 1.25 = 375 All the exact same thing done different ways. Actually Skye, the way it works according to something Cloud said in the C-box when me and Luci were discussing this one day, is that you use whichever way gives you closer to the base result. So for 4 25% barriers on 100 damage it would do 100*.75*.75*.75*.75= 31.64 However, if you had a strength score of 100 and boosted it by 25% 4 times it would be 100 + (100*.25) + (100*.25) + (100*.25) + (100*.25)= 200 NOT 100*1.25= 125*1.25= 156.25*1.25= 195.3125*1.25= 244.14 Edited by Drathmar, Oct 31 2009, 01:23 PM.

Then why does everyone in the thread I posted seemed to have been saying the exact opposite? I guess with what Gin said, they use the system that uses the smallest boosts then it makes sense, but I don't really get it. They don't do that for spell damage, or anything else for that matter. Makes little to no sense whatsoever to me, but if that's how it is. If that's the case, then I don't think the custom will work at all. It's not fair to change the complete system for just one person or else everyone will be doing it and thus the complete system will change, etc. Especially if you pretty much freely increase the damage of every single thing you do. I dunno it confuses me as well. I however am just going by what was said to us in the c-box that day, which is use whichever gives you the closest value to the base value. |
