Haha, as cruel and awesome as it would be to destroy the materia forever,I don't think that would be fair. No, much like any other equipment, it'd be considered "restored" by the next thread. I imagine it would explode with magical energy, rather than actually physically exploding like a ball of glass. |

Actually, I was wondering if any of those abilities should be techniques instead. Having them all as the very limited abilities doesn't seem right. |

Bestial Mimicry is, yeah. It would be based off of Blue Mage, and it's also based on the premise of a materia. So if those are the parameters, I'd say yes. The Metabolism one would have to be an ability, though the remaining one could go either way. |

Anything you've done yet, J. Axer. It all comes with experience. Takeru just brought up a good point. Technically, my Metabolism ability would make me take additional damage from grenades, which is obviously not the intention of the ability, since one does not eat grenades. Any suggestions to alleviate this? Maybe change it to consumables? |

Beastial Mimicry: Include a spot to keep track of "AP", and I think it'll be fine. Explosive Reaction: Include that if the result of the roll is anything else, nothing happens. I know it is implied, but I'd feel better if it was spelled out plainly as well. Enhanced Metabolism: 120% increase in effectiveness? So if a Potion heals 100 HP, for The Creature it would heal 220? Seems a bit much to me. Maybe if you made it so that Poison is doubled and then kept it for the normal duration, it would be easier for me to accept. |

In the first instance, I was wondering if you thought it would be fine to make it a technique rather than an ability. There's such a strict limit on them, after all. As for the second, I can do that. And for the third, you pointed out that an ability that already exists does about half of that for free with no requirements whatsoever. Is it really that much of a stretch relative to that ability? |

I think Beastial Mimicry would be fine as a Tech. Let it be so. And for Metabolism...I guess that while your version does have requirements, they aren't all that difficult to achieve. One of them is simply "Be the Creature", after all. And a character can start with 200 HP with the right build. I'd really like it to just be 'double Poison damage' without the turn reduction. If you do that, it will be approve-able. |
