Yes I got this idea from Chris's create drinks ability. However, this is going to be different in that everything this character does is going to be based off of creating drinks and explosives, and instead of creating them using the spell, he destroys the materia itself to make his items, to give them more potency. Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.

Hmm...it works differently from my method since there is no Water Materia requirement for the base ability, and the Materia used is permanently destroyed, which could get pretty expensive over time if you use just 'new' Materia. For the healing drinks, yours are a bit more powerful since mine are just Spell Power / 2. So that and the lower MP usage might make up for the fact that the Materia is destroyed upon use. However, I'm not sure if a flat 10 MP would be the best choice here. For a Curaga level, that would be 26 MP less than my version. It should be that higher levels use either more materials, or more MP. (You'd get 20 charges from a Materia capable of Curaga, anyway.) |

Err ya I just thought of that, I meant to say for every 100 AP over the amount required for the spell. So at a base level for curaga he could make 20 Cure level potions, or 5 Curaga level potions. I'll change that to say it and change it so it increases by 5 mp per level. What about the cybernetic part? And ya, it will get expensive, which is why they are more powerful. Create Brews Description: This is an ability that allows Sirius to create drinks and other consumable items with techniques, the strength of the items being based on how well he makes them. The items made are made from materia spells. These items all have no value to shopkeepers and cannot be sold to them. Requirements: 50 Intelligence, Be Sirius Effect: Allows the use of Techniques to create consumable items. Destroys Materia when used, each materia providing enough materials for 5 + (1 per every 100 AP over the requirements for the spell) items. That's fine, the part, since your guy is probably going to focus more on Intelligence and Magic than Strength and Speed. Everything else gets my approval, as well. |

He can't... not really. The materia has to have enough AP to cast that spell normally, plus he has to meet the requirements which is the same as the requirements to use the spell itself plus an equal magic requirement. So he can't go get a brand new restore materia and make curaga drinks. He would have to get a restore materia and keep it with him until it gained enough AP for curaga, then use it, at which point it would be gone, completely. I would also like to point out they are already approved, I was just modifying them slightly cause I noticed a flaw in the original approved versions that gave me a huge advantage if I wanted to take advantage of it. Each level and type of material is kept separate from each other in carefully marked jars that he carries around a belt on his waist and that go across his chest. When used this technique destroys a materia, and created an amount of materials that can be used to create explosives and brews of any level equal or less to the level of spell that the materia had access too when destroyed. Effect: Creates an amount of materials which are added to characters items. Amount created is enough to be used in 5 + (1 per every 100 AP over requirements for highest spell available) creations. Item is marked with how many are in it, and max spell usable. Item: Alchemical Materials [Type: ][Remaining Uses: ][Max Spell Usable: ] Description: This is a vial of destroyed materia substance that the alchemist can used to create brews and explosives with. Effect: None on its own Weight: 1 Cost: 0 Example of how this would work: He has a brand new restore materia, he destroys it with the first technique. The item made would be: Alchemical Materials [Type:Restore][Remaining Uses:5][Max Spell Usable:Lvl 1] Description: This is a vial of destroyed materia substance that the alchemist can used to create brews and explosives with. Effect: None on its own Weight: 1 Cost: 0 Type refers to the type of materia that was destroyed to max it, remaining uses refers to how much is left, and max spell usable is the max spell that was usable at the time the materia was destroyed. Lets say he used a restore materia with 1,000 AP. The item made would be: Alchemical Materials [Type:Restore][Remaining Uses:5][Max Spell Usable:Lvl 3] Description: This is a vial of destroyed materia substance that the alchemist can used to create brews and explosives with. Effect: None on its own Weight: 1 Cost: 0 It's still restore, remaining uses is still 5 cause 1,000 AP is minimum requires for lvl 3. It could use a lvl 3 spell when destroyed so the items made from it can have a max level of 3, or equivalent to regen. If it had had 1,200 AP it would have had 7 uses remaining because 1,200 (total) - 1,000 (minimum for highest level available) = 7. Wanna get this change approved, then I'll request changed item creation technique for the first item. |
