Apocalypse (Lv4)
Name: Finaru Riku
Alias: Kuragari
Race Sephiroth Clone
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Hometown: Midgar
Personality:

Riku has a split in personalities, whose secret lies in secret within the Keyblade that he was given at the age of 15. When the Keyblade is securely strapped to his side or back (not wielded), he is not a particularly nice person, but he is not mean either. He’s more of the kind of guy who would do just the right amount of work to get a job done. No more, no less. If somebody needed help, he would help them, but he wouldn’t put his heart into it. People who know him would just say “Oh Riku, he’s… ok”.

Whenever Riku is under intense pressure, he gets touchy. His mind becomes focused, body becomes relaxed, and thus he can do a ‘good job’ at whatever he needs to do. During this change, he tends to be very irritable; making those around him ‘think’ that he is violent. This is not true however, as he is only trying as hard as he can to get the job done, and thus will not be distracted no matter what. Usually, by the time that Riku has completed the difficult task at hand, the person he could have been doing it for might have changed their opinion about him in such a bad way, that it’s just not worth Riku to bother helping others.

Riku’s split personality is activated when his hands touch the hilt of his Keyblade. His mind flares, and all thought of reason disappears. He literally becomes one with the Keyblade, and will fight whoever challenges him and even innocent bystanders if they ‘happened’ to get in the way. If he wins the fight, he will most defiantly kill them in his maniacal fury. If he loses, then he will continue to fight like a berserker until he is knocked out, or his opponent leaves. If at any time his Keyblade is detached from his hands during a fight, his mind is split between wanting to return to his original personality, and continuing to fight. His common sense then kicks in, and he will risk his life just to get the Keyblade back in his hands, as it makes him feel comfortable, and acts like a drug. It can take up to a week for Riku to recover mentally from a fight.

---
Riku generally, makes a lot of friends, because not many people get to know him past his happy exterior. When in truth, he is always looking for self benefit. He is nice and subservient to others for a time which lasts for well past a year, but in the end, Riku ends up taking what he wants from that person. When he’s taken what he wants, he ditches the victim, and finds somebody else to deceive. And if the victim tried to warn everybody else, nobody would believe him, because Riku is just… Riku.

As far as dreams are concerned, he wants to find a true friend. Somebody who has nothing to give, so that they could truly be just that, friends. Other than that, he would very much like to know about how about his history. When he was found as a child, there was only a note in his jacket, with the words “Final Riku” lined with silver. He’s not even sure if that’s his real name, but decided to go by it as it was his only link to the past. At the age of fifteen, he truly decided to search for the truth as he had just received a special Keyblade that triggered something special in his brain.

Appearance:

Riku has a blindfold, which he wears almost all of the time, as the darkness soothes his anger, and also makes his fights all the more interesting if he knows he will win. Because he always wears this blindfold, when he takes it off, his eyes experience enhanced vision, to this physiologically boosts performance in battle. He wears a black cloak, which is lined with silver cloth at the edges. His hair is a silvery white, cut just above his eyes, and just above his back. His eyes are a dark blue, which glint in the heat of battle. His Keyblade is either strapped to his back or at his side at all times, but is always tilted so that his left hand can wield it quickly.

Riku is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 155 lbs, and has a wimpy body.

History

(History that Riku is unaware of: )

Riku was born into a family of assassins, who only worked for themselves. They picked out people in the world, and decided who they would kill to make the world a ‘better place’. This was all well and dandy, except that people eventually spread the word about what they were doing. Thus, the clones could prepare, escape, and have the upper hand on the entire family. This turned out to be the turning point between life and death for Riku’s family.

When Riku turned fifteen, he was finally included in on a clone hunting mission. This was odd, because it was impossible for him to possibly defeat a clone. However, his job was not to kill the clone, but to dress exactly like a child clone and get as much information as he could. And so, he was given a perfect disguise, but for some reason, the clone in question had found out about the plot, and had nearly killed Riku. The family of Finaru was helpless to help their son, and didn’t even know what was going to happen to him. Thus, all connections with him were lost. There was only one chance of possibly finding him, and that would be to track him down by name.

The clone that had found out about Riku’s mission, they fought. Riku was wielding a Keyblade that he had trained with since he could walk, and was probably his most valuable possession. However, it was futile and the clone did something to the child to make him forget everything. He also did something to make Riku lose all of his skill in killing, as well as injected him with something to make sure that he didn’t recover quickly. This explains why Riku starts with absolutely nothing at all.

(History that Riku is aware of. Riku’s memories begin here: )

Found on road dead. That is the beginning of Riku’s story, as he was found on one of the outskirts of Midgar at the age of fifteen by a girl named Mizuki. At the time, his hair was dyed grey, he was wearing blue contact lenses, and his face bore a substance that made him look like a clone. So, Mizuki decided to take him to her home as he looked like he was suffering from some kind of grave illness, while it was only his mask deteriorating. When they arrived at the hospital, Riku immediately woke up, and started moving his head side to side, muttering about how the reunion was about to start. The paramedics thought he was crazy, and seeing as though the mask on his face was bubbling for some reason, then pinned him down and started to check his symptoms to see if they could possibly cure him.

After many screams of pain, the paramedics discovered that he was hardly a clone at all. It seemed that whatever disguise Riku had been wearing, all just evaporated into the air in a black mist. His hair turned to a silvery white, his skin turned to its natural tone, and his eyes seared a dark brown. Not knowing exactly what was happening, the doctors all backed away, letting Riku jump up off of his bed, and out of the nearest window. However, he was three stories in the air, meaning that there was no possible way that he could have survived, but by some miracle, he landed the fall, only to crawl away. Mizuki ran out of the hospital, and just decided to bring him to her house, where she would ensure his survival. That is when Riku’s life began.

Not a month passed, and Riku finally recovered from his anger, and was seriously starting to wonder about who he was. Other than his snow white hair, he looked just like everybody else, but something about him made him feel as though something was pulling him back from others. He also realized that he was extremely untalented when it came to doing anything from walking, to playing catch, to doing homework. Mizuki was always encouraging him to do well, which was probably his source of life.

And so, the year passed, and Riku was still just as bad as he had been when he had been found. He no longer felt the effects of whatever had been injected into his body by the clone (the effects had long worn off by now), but he had no true will to grow. Sure, the girl who saved his life was nice, but he didn’t really have any friends. His personality couldn’t let him have friends, as he was only good at deception.

On Riku’s sixteenth birthday however, something strange happened. It was a rainy day, and he was once again traveling the streets at night. He hadn’t eaten in three days as nobody wanted his help, nor wanted to do business with him. It was when he turned a final corner, and dropped to his knees that somebody approached him from behind.
“I know what you want. I know what you need. Come with me.” After the words had been spoken, the mysterious figure’s hand connected with Riku’s shoulder, and instantly, rage beyond any other surged through his body. Riku flipped around, and kicked out with all the strength in his body, which was ironically close to none.
“Good, you are enhanced like the rest of your kin, but here, try this.” At that, the figure drew a black Keyblade onto the ground at Riku’s feet. It was then that he knew what to do, and as he drew the blade in his own hands, a fight ensued, to which Riku then had the most fun of his life.

Of course, Riku lost the fight, as he had no strength or agility to back his insane weapon prowess, and was pinned onto the nearest wall, but he was smiling, even though he was at knife point.
“More!” Riku cried, making a lunge for his Keyblade, which had been knocked onto the ground.
“You’re family is waiting. It is your decision whether or not to pursue them. I hope we meet again some day.”

(The Keyblade is the very same that Riku fought with against the clone)

Over the next year, Riku experimented with his personality change, and is still to this day pondering whether or not he wants to meet his family. Every time that he comes in contact with his Keyblade, he feels more control over the skill that he gains. Meaning, he will eventually be able to control himself, so that he doesn’t lose his mind when he gets into a weapon fight. Either way, something told him that is family could explain what was going on with his mind when he touched the Keyblade, but he didn’t know if he wanted to know or not. He had learned the hard way, that the truth can really hurt.

Finally, after much contemplating, Riku decided to move to the far north, where he would seek out his past, as well as get stronger along the way. And so, the journey began…

---

Not even a year later after setting out, Riku finally found out about his history, and quickly got bored with his life. After working for Shin-Ra for quite a while, he was offered an opportunity to be tested on, which he accepted without a second thought. The group who did the testing was not affiliated with Shin-Ra, and Riku didn't know what exactly they were doing to him. They had only told him that he would be enhanced beyond his wildest dreams. Through much pain, Riku was changed into a Sephiroth Clone.

As soon as Riku recovered and went to work, it was apparent to what he had become. Riku no longer wished to be a clone, but his creators had made it impossible to reach them. Enraged, Riku brought his anger out on some co-workers during a mission. His superiors decided to try capturing, but a wing burst from his shoulder, granting him just enough flight to escape. Due to this turn of events, Riku was no longer affiliated with Shin-Ra.
