Thoughts in Chaos

It is a matter of virtue and honor to stand alone as a lady knight. Each time the blade falls...each time the foe is slain. Doesn't it bring honor to one's lord? Yet Ezek had no lord. These deaths were empty and meaningless... How could a world filled with such marvels be so empty? She found nothing everywhere she looked. She would remain true to her code. She would stay true to chivalry. It was the only thing she could do. Ezek pressed her blonde hair back behind her ear as she looked over the fallen. Ivalice had monsters, but these were more sinister in nature. And they called themselves...humans...? Ezek no longer claimed to be human. She knew there was something sleeping inside of her...she felt its gentle breathing inside of her chest. It was there...asleep. It scared her to know that one day it would probably wake up. It scared her that she would lose control. Control...she had to learn to control it. This place was more like the world she had come from. It was a forgotten townstead in the mountains where she had found refuge for the last couple of days, but all the same; it wasn't so lost after Ezek had found it. Shinra SOLDIERs began to move in almost as soon as Ezek had discovered it. 'Did they follow me?' She questioned. Rather than meet up with a direct confrontation with the SOLDIERs the woman decided to take her leave of the small town...for all the comfort it had been. She headed towards the nearby woods. She would find shelter there...among the creatures of the night. 'For all of my honor...I am still a demon now.' She stepped beside a tree and looked back at the small town as it faded in the horizon. She was...Mal. Every time Mal woke up...she was in a different place. Where was she now? She saw exactly what Ezek had been looking at before she drifted off - it was a town of some sort. Was Ezek traveling there? Certainly that place would be safer than this forest. So she headed forward back towards the town. This was the ironic twist that forever held Ezek, Mal, and Virtue in its bond. When Mal finally arrived, she didn't know what to do. She would talk to someone if they didn't all look so mean. Everyone looked angry here. Was there anywhere that was safe for her? The woman clang to the shadows until she found one of the darkest and dustiest places she could find. Coincidentally it was a library, and that meant books. Mal loved books. She stepped inside and looked around. The ancient librarian could of been a zombie for all that she knew. She bit her lip and proceeded into the unknown, yet safe, darkness of the library. A book to read...any book. It would be safer inside of the book. Books painted worlds... Mal knew that she didn't want to be in this one. Especially not with her being inside of her sister's body. It had taken a bit of getting used to. Ezek was taller. She was more beautiful. Her chest was bigger... and... She had long hair. How did Ezek do anything with this long hair? The hair always got in her way when she tried to read. It was annoying. 'This isn't my body though...cutting my...cutting Ezek's hair without her permission... Its not like she could do anything to me without punishing herself as well...we are in the same body after all.' Mal looked down at the sword Ezek carried at her hip. 'I'll just...give her a trim. That's all she needs...a trim.' |

Mal lifted Ezek's blade to her hair and sliced it. 'There thats -' She was Ezek. Ezek looked at her hair and her sword in confusion. She sighed, but knew there was little she could do. She had loved her long golden mane, but it was gone...and all she had left of it was a short bob. She dropped the hairs to the floor and sheathed her sword. Ezek headed towards the entrance of the library. She opened the doors and found herself surrounded by SENTRY. "You'll be coming with us Miss." "Nay, I serve no man. My sword can be bartered for if ye desire it, else stand down lest ye feel its sting." Ezek drew her blade and pointed it at her enemies. 'Tis fate that I encounter more foes than I can handle alone. Mayhaps I could...' There was a clicking sound that came from behind her. She looked over her head and saw the ancient librarian hold up a pistol to her head. 'Zooks - Even the ancient one would bear arms against me.' A man in a suit stepped forward and smiled. Ezek could smell the gunpowder of all of the guns that were pointed at her. "Kill her." Ezek winced as all of the SOLDIERs and Sentry, and even the old librarian fired steaming hot lead bullets into her body. She collapsed onto the ground, he body full of holes, and her chest leaking blood. "Tch, a shame." The man in the suit said to himself. "Alright boys, pack it up. Go dump the body somewhere." Several Sentry quickly gathered up Ezek's remains and carried her off. They took her to the graveyard in Nibelheim, and into a crypt of all the bodies Shinra didn't ever want to be found. The sentry dropped her onto the ground and looked at one another. "Hey...wouldn't it be a waste to just let her go to waste?" Asked one of them. The other sentry slapped his face. "Are you serious? You'd do that? She has a bullet in her brain and she's been pumped full of lead." The second told the first. "You'd get blood all over yourself ya ding bat." The first SOLDIER looked down at Ezek's body with longing. "Damn...you're probably right...What a waste." They turned to leave. "Why boys..." The bullets were pushed out of Ezek's chest and head. "I think there is plenty of me to go around..." She smiled as her form twisted into that of a hideous monster. Ezek morphed into the demon that slept within her - she became the demon known as Virtue. "I always liked the souls of nice strong men." Virtue grabbed each by the arm. "So...how would you like me to take your souls? Quick and painless, or would you rather enjoy it?" The men simply screamed and began firing bullets into her. The demon smiled as she ate the first man. "Don't be scared...you'll be apart of me...for the eternities...and I promise that you'll like it." She pulled the second man close to her. "Don't worry...its actually quite nice after you become a part of me. I can guarentee you'll like being a woman." The Demon laughed manically as she devoured the second man's soul as well. "Oh...what wonderfully delicious the souls of these mortals be." The demon laughed to herself. Ezek swallowed hard. She panted as her demonic features sank bank into her body and vanished. Even after she had reverted to normally it took every ounce of her being to push Virtue back into her deep slumber. Tis becoming more difficult a task as the days pass. I fear that the time we shall no more be twain draws close with haste. Edited by Tada!, Jan 6 2010, 12:57 PM.
