This is free, but it's really good enough to be commercial. It's a little old, but I totally blame that on how obscure it is. It's weird because no one advertizes this as much as other VNs. I somehow found this through chance. If you're into bittersweet stories with a bit of slice-of-life, then this will be godsend. If I were to erase any memory like in this game, I'd erase the memory of me playing this game so I can play it again.

No spoilers, please. To be frank, I tried to. But it's just way too dark and gloomy. Basically, kid is going to die and I think he's going to go ahead and pick a place to die by running from the hospital. Now, there is no problem with depressed VN if there's some sort of light. I really tried. By the first 5 minutes, it was completely depressing. I went for like what, 15 minutes before I gave up. I might try again, but there's just no silver lining in this story.

Looking for a happy story, this is not the place to look. There is actually a Narc 2, which seems a bit brighter, but I don't know much about it because Insani, in spite of all his promises, never translated it. Bah.

I've seen a number of other insani works, and I think I came across True Remembrance a couple years back but wasn't into visual novels back then. I really only started playing them 2-3 years ago.
