Thanks for this Sal.  Earlier last month i read a freebie magazine promoting Artists in the Lake District. There is an Art shop doing just the same thing but selling on behalf of painters for a charity. Apparently they catalogue on line along with lots of famous celebrities, Alan Titchmarsh, Rolf Harris, etc .and then they are sold blind. A bidder pays upto £250 ( or is it from?) but doesn't know if he'll get a celebrity or some other artist, known or unknown? It raises alot of money and has been going for a coulpe of years. Poppy |
