Hello all you fellow crafters out there. My user name is Poppycraft (Poppy). I am an Art and Papercrafts Tutor, 4 years experirence working in a college and outreach areas such as village halls etc, spreading the word about how brilliant crafting is! I also teach Encaustic art as well. I am hoping to share with you hints and tips as well as learning some from you all as well. My favorite crafts are Teabag folding, Iris folding, Japaese screen cards, Encaustic art, Parchment craft, Rubber stamping, layering template cards (similar to Madalion cards), box making, (useful for putting those multi layered cards in). I am also interested in making flowers of all sorts from paper. My latest came about when i tried sugar roses and iscovered I could not do it!!!!!!! I tried the same techniques in paper and built them petal by petal from the middle outwards and bingo! I had got a beautiful assortment of roses in any stage of flowering. I also make clematis and Fuchsia in the same way. I do this with paper punches. There are loads of other crafts I like but far too many to list here! cannot think of anything else to say except I am very addicted to Papercrafts and E/A. Forgot to say earlier, I have a hubby, Ray and 3 grown up kids and 1 grandson aged 4 who is just as keen on crafts as me. He loves teabag folding.(kite fold) stamping and punching and cutting anything out with deco scissors! Poppy. |
