As my daughter turned 18 this year and it's also her first birthday as a mum I thought I'd like to do her a special card so I made a teabag tile from a picture I took of her daughter, made it into a medallion and used that. She was thrilled with it and my mum liked it so much she asked me to make one using the same tile for her birthday a few days later
I have put the card, tile, the photo I took the tile from and a black and white tile on my Webshots album (thanks Steve!) Here I have only just put them there so they might take a few minutes to appear! Sharon |

Thank you
It's a very relaxing craft and also something you can do while on the move or at work (during breaks lol) too, I made some medallions while I was at the hospital waiting for my appointment a couple of years ago and ended up showing everyone else how to do it too lolSharon |

Brilliant card Sharon. That's the kind of thing I'd ended up doing, showing everyone how to make it. I went to put my wage claim form into the office, on it ,it has what you have claimed for. 'What is Tea bag folding ' asked one of the admin staff. It just so happened that I had a few tea bag squares in my bag (as you do, along with some double sided tape and scissors), well, I showed her and soon had a crowd round me. It ended up with me doing a Proffesssional Development course in Papercrafts for staff! I love your little grandaughter she looks such a sweetie. Poppy. |

Awww, thank you, she's she's just discovered her 'cute' look too - head slightly to one side, chin on chest and looking at you lol lol lol I have to look for a job, I wonder if I could teach teabag folding to the staff and claim it as overtime lol My mum had a mastectomy last year and I gave her some teabag tiles to go into hospital with but she didn't use them, she should have as she would have had the best audience ever...none of them could escape lol Sharon |

Oh, Poor MUM, the folding of the Tea Bags would have hurt her after a mastectomy surely? Hope she is feeling much better now? Poppy. |

Thanks Poppy
My mum had her 6 month check up a couple of weeks ago (1 year after the op lol) and everything's fine
I'm sure her sense of humour helped her enormously while she was being treated (when she was in hospital I quilled her a boob but it was too small to use lol, gave the ward a laugh though lol) and luckily from finding the problem to having the op was only about 5 weeks so no other treatment was required
The teabag folding probably would have been fine as she wouldn't have had to move her arm, just her wrist but it's a new craft to her and I don't think she really wants to learn it lol, mum's a parchment person lol Sharon |

Glad to hear all's well, Sharon
If you're interested, when you want to include a pic from Webshots, go to the album, click on the pic to get it's larger image, right click on it and you should be able to access it's address (in IE, click on Properties from the right click menu) which you can then copy. Then insert it in your post by clicking on the "Insert the image" link above the message text box and paste the address into the pop-up box. In Opera, right clicking allows you to select "Copy Image address" (much easier) and in Firefox it's "Copy Image Location". The album is looking good ![]() Cheers, Steve |

lol, with three dogs, two teenagers, one twenty year old, one husband and a baby there's not a lot of room here, perhaps that's why I don't move my arms a lot I'd be great at Irish dancing as my arms are 'glued' to my sides lol lolSharon |

You are not dim! If the piccy is at an angle, use the kite fold. That means fold into a tri angle, open up. On the wrong side fold one edge side into the middle so it's edge is against the fold, repeat both sides to make the kite shape. Make sure the piccy is the right way up though. Then, on a piece of spare paper 2" square, rule a line from corner to corner to find the exact midddle. Stick a 1" piece of double sided tape over the cross in the middle and peel off backing. Now position your tea bag kite point to one exact cross lines in the midddle to centre and align the rossette. This makes it easier to get it right from the beginning. It usually takes 8 tea bag kites for this kind of rossette. I have some on http://www.encausticart.com You can view it. These were done with my Encaustic Art images of roses. Just go to the site click on encaustic gallery, then click search at the top of the screen , type poppycraft, and my gallery will come up. Hope this helps. any more Q , just ask! Poppy.
