Thank you  I'm looking for another host for them, anyone know any good free lol hosts? I used to be with AOL and they were perfect, loads of space but if I add too many more tiles I'm going to run out of bandwidth :o

Hi, Sharon! If you want lots of storage space, then give Photobucket a look. They're great!

Cheers,
Steve :)

Having checked, you get 25 megabytes of space with 1500 megabits of bandwidth. An alternative is to get free webspace and make your own website with an album of tiles. I use 50 Webs, where you get 60Mb and unlimited bandwidth. If you want to go that route but are unsure about setting up your own website, then I'm happy to help :) You could email me the tiles (preferably as a zip file) and I'd make the website for you.

Cheers,
Steve :)

PS Jenny and I are on holiday for 2 weeks from the end of this week so time online will be somewhat limited then :D

Sharon, everytime I go onto your brilliant tea bag site, I win a prize!!!!

I have never claimed them ?

Does anyone know if it is safe to claim them?

If you have claimed prizes like these, what are they likely to be?

I'm just a tad bit sceptical about such things!!!!!

LOL Poppy. :)

Hi, Poppy. Generally, I always ignore these banners and pop-ups! If they're innocent, in terms of harm, then you're unlikely to have actually won anything whatever they claim. Many are American and the prizes aren't available outside the USA, even if genuine. Many, however, require all kinds of info' it's just not safe to give out!! Even if they only ask for an email address, you're likely to get tons of spam! Then there are the malicious ones that download all sorts of nasties, especially dialers that can soon run up your 'phone bills!

All in all, I'd say leave well alone. Your instinctive caution is well founded!

Cheers,
Steve :)

Thanks Steve, I knew you would know about these things. It's great to have the benefit of your knowledge. I don't bother to click you have won or anything that lands on my screen for that matter! But it's good to have it confirmed. Cheers!

It's always worth applying the same rules on the internet as in "real life", Poppy :) If the offer sounds just too good to be true - it is!! :D What really annoys me is when you click on a "close" button inside a window and that's what does the damage! Sometimes, you get swamped in other pop-ups/windows of advertising (sometimes porn  ) and sometimes it actually downloads nasties invisibly! Always click on the "X" on pop-ups or windows - though floating ads are normally safe from this because of how they work (thankfully!).

Cheers,
Steve :)

I hadn't seen the ad Poppy, I htink they're changed every so often but this is part of the reason why I want to move the site, I don't like the ads plus when I do a spyware check on my pc there's always a Bravenet think cropping up (same with FortuneCity which is where I started doing a site  ) The problem is I haven't time to change at the moment :(

Sharon, if you want ad-free and unfussy, then I suggest you take a look at 50webs - 60 megabytes of space and a nice address for you, instead of some of those horribly complicated ones that "free" hosts usually provide :)
