If you like a watercolour effect to your stamping projects, try this;

Use a Stazon stamp pad, in black or if you can get it grey, this gives a pencil outline to your work. Stamp your design and let dry. Then you can use either, real watercolours or fluid chalks to colour wash the design in, felt tipped brush pens are also fine for this technique.

If you use a watercolour paper with Stazon ink pad, it will look very aythenticly watercolour painted . Try botanical stamps with this technique, it will lok stunningly beautiful. Remember, Stazon ink does not run, so you can be as sloppy as you like with the colour!!

Poppy. :)
The whole point of using Stazon is, it is water proof when dry so it won't smude/merge with the real watercolours, w/c pencils or fluid chalks.

You could also use watercolour pencils - just pencil a little colour on and then use a small, damp brush to spread the colour out - very useful for colouring in precise areas :D

Cheers,
Steve :)

I haven't got a STAZON ( said witha big deep voices like Alan and Barry say it!) but had wondered about getting one for use on overhead papers, do you need a special cleaner to remove it from the stamp? :uhoh:

I'll be honest I use baby wipes to clean all my stamps, no matter what I've used. I held out against buying STAZON but succumbed because I wanted to do shrink plastic.

Yes, a stazon cleaner about £3.00, but it is well worth it, it cleans all your rubber stamps perfectly. Even tables, if kids have crayoned or stamped on them. My local craft shop Uptown Crafts told me that!
