Got my stylus and tips today. Guess what that means? You are right, no supper for hubby. :r :r :r That poor man is so sweet and how I know is that he puts up with the likes of me. :groan I am just kidding he will be fed to the gills and I will kiss him sweetly for having the nerve to have such a crazy wife. I promise to not get much wax in his meat and tators.

Mardar, you'll be waxing well into the night! That is the one tool I cannot do without. I have an assortment of small tips for the stylus, they are SOOO versatile! I did the Panda's with the micro iron tip and stylus!
Have fun!!!!!!
Poppy.

Poppy I got the two small tips and the one that looks like a pen nib. There is also a small brush with it too, so the midnight oil will be burning tonight. :r :r

Just remember, Mardar, that when they say "waxy potatoes" they do not mean that you can use them for encaustic :r

I'm looking forward to seeing some pics when you've had another play ;)

Whatever you do (apart from not adding the wax to the dinner) don't so what I did the other day. I'd dropped my stylus on the floor and bent the nib, so I bought me a new nib, put it on.....and prompty dropped it again! ARRRGGGGHHHH! That was SO annoying, so I had to try to bend it back in shape with some pliers and try to use that till I could get back in to town to get another new one. The woman in the shop must have thought I'd gone mad, having bought two new nibs in as many days! So now I am extra careful....well..at least till next time! Maria x

Maria :r :r That sounds like something I would do. :r :r And I would have to wait to order mine as I'm in the US. The worst I have done so far is to burn my non working fingers. Dropped in slicker than flash. :r :r :r I guess I'm earning my wax wings with a trial of fire. :r :r

A bent nib or a burnt foot/hand? Now that's a dilemma :r
