Steve and Damo, I'm on another invision site where they have different emoticons to ours on here. I just tried to post a couple, doing them exactly like they appear. ie,
:hearts:
but they don't work on this site , Why!

Each board "owner" starts with a basic set of emoticons, Poppy. Any others have to uploaded and coded for the board individually. Some boards go for a theme, with all emoticons having the same size/design concept. Others obtain special packs that they have to buy. I'm afraid that I tend to try to get emoticons when I see a need for them or if they're asked for :) Unfortunately, with tens of thousands of boards, it would be a task of years to try to visit them all and find the most common abbreviations. There are conventions for certain basic emoticons, but beyond that they become fairly random, based on the logic (or illogic) of the board owner :D

If anybody wants an emoticon for something in particular, they only have to shout and I'll sort it out as soon as I track down a freebie :D

Cheers,
Steve :)
