If you don't have an Avatar (the little pic beside the posts of most members) and you'd like one, there are many ways to do so. CraftBoard actually restrains the size automaticallly to 64 x 64 pixels. If you have a pic that's larger than that, CraftBoard will automatically make it fit that size for display.

You can use any standard file format (gif, jpg, png) for your Avatar, including animated images. Please refrain from using anything offensive though :)

You can use one of the standard Avatars which are available via "My Controls", "Edit Avatar Settings". There is a drop down box with different categories. Using the same route, you can also use a "remotely hosted" pic (e.g. on Photobucket/Webshots/ImageShack) by entering the URL in the appropriate box. Alternatively, you can upload a pic that you have on your computer by clicking on "Choose" on that same page. Please remember that we have limited space so only upload the pic if you've resized it to 64 x 64 pixels! Also, remember that you could use a scaled down or cropped section of one of your own pics :)

If you can't find the pic you want, please ask! We'll endeavour to fiind a suitable one for you :) There are many websites offering free Avatars, but do be careful as some carry spyware/adware! (Much the same as many emoticon sites :( )

Steve :)
