These pics were all done by our second son, Reuben :) They were his first attempts at encaustic and led to him getting a starter set for his 21st birthday :) Life has since overtaken him, but hopefully he'll get back to waxing soon ;)

Steve :)

A very good first attempt! I particularly like the 2nd one. Nice wintery sky! And tell him his dragons are great! I think he shows much promise where fantasy is concerned! Maria x

:ta: Maria :) I'll pass that on :thumbup; I'm hoping that he or his wife will join us in the new year (Christmas in retail - long hours and plenty of exhaustion :( - no breaks for him now until after the post-Christmas clearances) :)

These are fantastic. He has inherited your flare for painting. I will love to see more of his work as soon as the rush of life has settled down. :thumbup; :thumbup;

Wow they are beautiful. The first one looks like there is a bird's head in it. I can see the eye and beak. I love the second one the best too. So much talent. I can see why you are proud.

Steve, with parents as sweet as you and Jenny, your kids would have to turn out as fantastic people. :huggy:

Carol, the first one is actualy a dragon's head, but there's definitely a close resemblance ;)

Mardar, we had to have good material to work with :lolol:

:congrats: I agree with Mardar. I am so glad that I really was seeing something even if I got it wrong. Didn't want to think the eyes were tricking me again. With damage that they have, they do that once in awhile. You both did a wonderful job with sharing your talent genes. :huggy:

Wowww talents runs in the family.
I'm getting curious about the encaustic talent of your other kids.

I love the first and the last one best. But that's mainly because of the colours.
The other two look wintery and overhere it's raining, stormy and cold so for the moment I would like something warm...... :rlol:
