I didn't have as much time to wax today as I'd hoped for, but I managed to do this little fairy! (They ARE breeding, I tell ya! )

Anyway, it's A5 and painted with the iron, stylus, scriber with a little bit of tissue transfer in there for the rocks!

Maria, the detail you are now getting into your paintings is fantastic. You should try to get into illustrating books!

Someone else said that to me ages ago, Poppy. If I knew how to, I would! But I am still happy doing what I do now. Not sure if I had deadlines etc that I'd enjoy it so much somehow. Just to sit and doodle in my own time is relaxing, but if you have publishers breathing down your neck all the time, it might take the pleasure out of it. Maybe I should just write my own book of fairies? Only prob is...I am hopeless with words! Maria x

Just lovely, Maria! Like Poppy said, you're getting better and better :nw:

Now how about a fiery dragon swooping down to take a bite.... :r

Sorry! I just gave myself a beautiful calendar full with dragon's pictures, loore, history, riddles, everything DRAGON. Thought I had worked so hard over the weekend at that craft show I deserved some reward

I'm really getting obsessed with them, I think. A friend had a stand at that fair where she sold glass pellets, sandblasted with a dragon image. She gave me one!
If you PM me your address I will try to get hold of another one to send you.

All the best,
Thea

Heidi, I never set out to do a 'real' tree, but I guess it does look a bit like lilac. We have tons of that in our garden and they smell divine! I guess the fairy does look slim....maybe that was wishful thinking on my part, seeings as how I am always trying to lose weight (and failing!)

As to the dragon Thea (already pmd you) You DO realise I have to go and do another one now you've said that! What is it about dragons that are so wonderful? I don't think any of mine are fearsome...they'd probably run a mile if they saw this fairy (she looks a bit of a seductress to me really!) hehe! Maybe best not go down that road, methinks! Maria x

Hi Maria,

here's some more info on the Dragon Calendar. It is based on the best-selling book: Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons.
And I certainly will try to paint one of the images that are on there.
The book, together with the calendar would be the perfect Christmas gift for you, I suppose  (so whoever is reading this.... :P )

The Craft Fair is the same I mentioned earlier. Just did one so far, but got invited to four more, because of people who saw my display
Three of them are on the same Saturday, though :r

Thea
P.S. I will mail the stone to you this week!
