Beautiful. I love them both the foxgloves and bullrushes are stunning, I could look at that all night! I was thinking of getting some wax etc for Christmas, but I know I'd never achieve such pieces of beauty so would become disheartened and they'd lie in a drawer unused.

 Aww thany-you everyone.

Right, first things first...

Jo.....don't ever think you are not capable of doing something like this! All you need is self-confidence, and that builds with practice. It's like everything.....you can't be expected to be able to do it straight off, but I can tell you, with waxing it all comes very quickly! My 89 yr old mum even has a go! So I reckon you should go buy a set and see what happens! My guess is that you will be turning out some wonderful work within a week or two! Honest!

Poppy.....I thought of you when I named this, but actually, there was a place up in Norfolk at the end of the 1800's that was known as Poppyland, though I don't think it looked anything like this (being on the coast!) but the name always stuck in my mind. I LOVE seeing fields of poppys, though...and my guess is you are there in that picture somewhere, if only in spirit!

Anyway, I do thank all of you for such lovely comments. I feel quite humble!

Stunning landscapes superbly realised, Maria :thumbup; Well worth branching out for these :D

Jo, Maria's right! It's amazing how quickly you get the hang of these things! Waxing is just about the fastest art to learn and succeed in :)

WOW - the perspective in Poppyfield is amazing - when it comes into vision - it kinda makes you jump - cos you're suddenly looking way into the horizon. Brilliant.
Then, as a contrast Foxgloves makes you feel all relaxed. How lovely.
