First of all TAKE THEM OFF ANY PUBLIC SITE, including this and the E/A site! That way no one can put any claim to them. I know you have got brill coments but they are adorable and at the moment anyone and everyone has access to them. See my post on Send as a Card from the other side in Waxing brighter! Write or e mail ALL publishers of childrens books, look through the library or ask what is popular, then write to their publishers. Do not send in any drawings or sketches until they say they are interested. Keep at it, Believe in yourself because, THEY ARE SO publishable! I wonder if Dorling Kindersly, the kids book club would be interested? GOOD LUCK! Poppy.

Please still consider taking them out of the public eye Twinthing, that way you'll conserve the copyright . Great idea about the card makers. Poppy Sorry, I didn't realise you had a name!!! Catherine. |

If you don't want to remove the pics from their current places, I'd strongly advise that you watermark them with something like "Copyright © Catherine ...... 2005". You hold that anyway if they're signed, because you have the originals, but proving origination is difficult unless you posted them to yourself through the normal postal system and left them sealed up
By watermarking, you make it difficult for anybody to make use of the images

Steve how does one watermark? Everyone's right Catherine anyone could be using your work....and mine...I heard that sending work to yourself and leaving it sealed is not enough these days. I printed one of my drawings out (not a colouring page) and it printed to 8x10 in.... Anyone could be using my pieces. If you could post the instructions to watermark Steve we would all benefit.
