hello fellow wedgers, We have 3 wheels available in our class, but as yet I havent plucked up the courage to have a go on them!!! One lady has....she spent most of her time swearing under her breath..I think she thought it was going to be easy. Our tutor showed us a demo, he said that he has been throwing pots for 25 years and still learns somthing new every time he does it! Hopefully next term I shall put my confient trousers on and have a go, (secretly I am dieing to) but ooooooohhhhhhhhhh the messss.... magz

Magz. In our class there was this prim and propper woman who used to go and throw pots wearing white trousers and shirt! She NEVER got any clay splatters on her at all. We used to wait for the time when she did get some mess on her, but she never did! I'm sure she had special dirt proof clothes! Me, I only had to look at the wheels to get clay splatters all over me! Embarressing when I had to go home on the bus!!!! Poppy.

I can remember television programmes, like Generation game where the people had to throw a pot! I used to love watching it rise up from a lump of clay and suddenly it would go off at a tangent! Good luck when your time comes. Look forward to seeing a photo of the results!

Does that make your class a trike, Magz? I can throw pots, but only if angry enough ![]() Good luck with your attempt! Steve |

Sorry peeps, just had an image of you all dressed like Demi Moore, (unchained melody plays gently in the background) now if your classes turn out like that scene, where do I sign up? |
