brrr it was freezing at college last night, as we missed so many classed while the teacher was on crutches we went into class and its half term so no heating! and hence the pots were not dry enough to fire mid week so they went into the kiln last night.......one of the green man was slightly dammaged....when the leaves on the chin dried they broke at the tips.....but they are fixable. I made another wall plaque to go on my garden shed. his face is made by using the ends of nails and scews and bolts pressed into the clay. his eyes are 2 penny coins, considering leaving them in while the plaque is being fired, that should be intresting! I started a small coil pot using a play dough extruder cause Im not a fan of rolling coils, they never come out even! and I glazed a small cottage trinket pot that I made before christmas, im always abit disapointed with the glaze so to avoid to much " brown" Ive used brush on glazes, I just have to make sure it gets fired at a low temp! so that intails plenty of nagging on my behalf! heres the pic of my plaque,
