Here's one I did a few days back as well.

It must have been at around the same time Terry's brain was syncing with mine, though obviously hers is in a different league. :nw:

Twee Tree

I know it's still floating there, but I wasn't really going to post it, but as I said, it seems a little quiet, so I thought 'what the hell'

Not given to using four letter words, Col, but that weird phenomenon jumped out and bit me: Life :D It's a total nuisance ;)

With the addition of some shading at the base of the tree, you're well away here :thumbup;

Kinda scared to touch it though Steve, as I like the sky, I like the smoothness of the hills, and knowing my luck, it'll just go pear shaped and be ruined.

I'll wait until I'm bored of looking at it before changing it.. probably.. :art:

Well done Col. It is a great picture in its own right :)

Another way you could try is to draw in the tree when the picture is only half finished, use the iron to blend in the base of the trunk and give some foliage at the base of the tree, and then continue to sweep iron accross to gives hills in foreground.

Wonder if that makes any sense!

Yep, makes perfect sense! and thanks for the tip.
Unfortunately I didn't have the forethought to do that at the time, I just 'went with the flow'

Perhaps I'll concentrate on establishing an idea, and then working towards that.

:thumbup; Hi Col, This isn't too bad at all, I love the sky and the way you've got the hills in there. I think it could be saved and be a winner! :huggy: Sylvia

:yip: Hello Colin

I love the way the sky is dragged and you have smooth clean hills and then balanced with the lifted foliage :thumbup;
Do you have a stylus???That would be an option to touch up the base of the tree with a stylus tip OR its a bit scarey to do but gentle bending the card and dabbing onto iron at base of tree for some grassy texture!!!

I know what i mean :r

But i do like it as it is!!!!

Keep the tree's coming as it looks like tree's is going to be the theme for the ATC swap!!

Hi Jinny.

Nope, I'm still stuck with just the iron. Though the more I think about a stylus, the more appealing it's becoming.

I do like it as-is myself though. I'm glad it's getting such nice comments!

Good to hear the ATC might be something I can actually do :)

You will be fine with the ole ATC's........Trust me!! ;)

The stylus is a good waxing tool........When and ifyou get one.......it will be a case of "why on earth did i not get one earlier"
