Wow Ros - that's going to look stunning in a glass paperweight - the light will catch it beautifully.

Amazing how you got such fine detail in a piece so tiny. It'll look like a little gem. :thumbup;

Love :wave: x

What a great idea! The pic is superb, but then I'd expect that from you! Incidentally, where do you buy the paperweight glasses from and how are they assembled? Never really thought about how they are made, though I do have a small collection of them.

Thanks Maria,,
I will take that as a compliment ! :)

I got the paperweight blanks from http://www.retailfranchise.co.uk/shop/blanks.html

If you scroll down the page you can see the prices for small numbers of them!

They come as glass top bit with a recess underneath for you to put in picture, embroidary, etc. and then a self adhesive felt backing which fixes the picture in place.

They are lovely, but I have to say, I have sold more blank ones to friends to use to make personalised gifts to teachers than I have sold with encaustic art in! :groan

Thanks for that Ros. I think they'd make great xmas/birthday gifts, not to mention fun to make too!

This would sure look great in a paperweight. I would love to see it when its inside but I think that's almost impossible to fotograph :(
