Had time to get the waxes out this afternoon. Completed the A5 that I began last week at the craft fair. Didn't have time to finish it then because we got a bit busy! Anyway, tis all done now....another little fairy to add to the collection. Hope ![]() Then, since I have had enough small work to last for a lifetime in recent weeks, I decided to let rip at an A3. Just played really, and this is what arose. For some reason the name Pandora came into my head at the time, so I called it... Pandora's Flight ![]() (Well....Pandora's box would have been too obvious!

There's a very special light coming from your first pic that I haven't seen before - almost like you've painted it on glass. Very beautiful. I can see Pandora - just right of centre at the top - leaning against a rock with a snail shell at her feet - a tiny delicate little figure - did you know she was there? I love your abstracts Love x

Great to see Hope finished (now that's a weird statement
) Definitely up there with your very best work, Maria ![]() Pandora's Flight is superb Of course, I couldn't help noticing that the imags are very feminine - apt considering that Pandora released all the mischiefs ![]() Steve

Thanks. Terry, I looked at the pic when I thought I'd finished it, but wasn't happy with the wings, so I added a bit of the yellow to the pearlescent and highlighted them to make them look as though they were reflecting the light from behind and it really brought the whole picture into focus. As for Pandora.....yes...I saw her too, though to me she looks as though she is on a flying carpet or something, hence the title. And you're right Steve...she was a little bit of a mischief maker! I was framing up some A3s today and I was amazed at how even the most mundane one looks so much better once in a frame! I was pleased with this one, so I can't wait to see it as the finished article! |

Oh Maria, Those are awesome. I looked at Hope and thought to myself how beautiful the colouring was, and the incredible 3D effect the waterfall has, then I scrolled down to see Pandoras Flight, which quite literally took my breath away. The smoothness of colour and texture you achieve are absolutely remarkable. I could sit and look at that for absolutley ages. In fact, if I had that as my desktop wallpaper, I'd get even less done than I do now (if that's actually possible) x Col! |

Exquisite, both of them. The light in the first is phenomenal, and to me Pandora seems to be floating on a carpet of silk rippling in the breeze! Faboulous! Sylvia

Astonishing comes into my mind but don't have a clou how to write it Anyway Hope is wonderful. I've said it before; the green you use realy highlights the pic. Pandora.......I love the shapes you made......I could look at it for ages. The lemon-like yellow gives it so much depth.
