Total rubbish on TV last night, so I got the waxes out and bashed out these. Two dragons for Ebay and a little oval which will go in a paperweight.....which is a bit of an experiment....not made any before, but I quite like the idea of doing something a bit different so thought I'd have a go!

The oval was as fiddly as hell to do, by the way!

Going to see how well they sell at fairs before I do any more though. And if they don't sell...well, people can expect them in their xmas stocking next time! :thumbup;

:thumbup; The dragons are so expressive - the way the tail hangs casually on the log - really conjures up two battle weary souls. It's not just about colours and techniques, but getting feeling into paintings is the real magic :nw:

Especially love the colours in the foreground on number 2.

The paperweights must look lovely with the light reflecting on the glass - it'll be interesting to see how they do at the fairs..good luck M

Only way I have ever managed to photograph any paperweights is a straight vertical view,, which then doesnt show the paperweight itself properly :(

I don't suppose placing them on a black background might diffuse the reflections a bit?
