Yeah Steve, I kind of know what you mean, but they are still using the techniques and that is very interesting to me, and for that I'm very greatful.

As I've no background in real arts.. (well, apart from using acryics to paint Games Workshop minatures when I was younger) Seeing instances of oils, watercolours, acrylics, encuastics, etc. still is really interesting here (and I hope I get to see all kinds of things I've not encountered before)

That's why I really enjoyed receiving such a great mixture of encaustic, watercolour and collages in my selection. It really opened my eyes to techniques I knew of, but didn't have access to or references of.

I guess that explains why I signed back up for next months swap so quickly, I can see how this can get pretty addictive.... :D

Addictive it is and i think you will proberly not stick to the waxing,i feel you might get adventurous and try something else!!!!!

Col, you might like to join Watercolour Home as well, then :thumbup; There's lots of different mediums in use there, and a fund of helpful hints and tutorials :)

I did a fair amount of GW miniature painting, along with more traditional wargames figures in the past :D
