Not feeling quite as bad as I did yesterday, so I was able to start sorting out which pictures will go into the various exhibitions that are looming. Found I was one short for one show, so did a quick A4 this afternoon. Wanted to carry on the fairy theme and this is the result.

I love all your fairy pics.....Just out of curiousity,do you scratch out where you are going to do your fairy/ies.......or just go over what is already there? I find that when i go over whats there i sometimes end up with muddy colours!

Just wondered

So vivid and really beautiful. It must be quite an experience at the exhibitions to be able to listen to the comments of the visitors... :thumbup; :art:

Thanks for the info M, on exhibitions (enchantment).

Wish you lots of luck (you won't need it though) and do hope your back's a bit better now :groan

Love x

 Not always, Terry! Once I overheard someone saying to her friend, 'Oh nooo...I DON'T like THAT one!' pointing to one of mine! (it subsequently sold at a craft fair!)

Jinny, Yes I do scratch out the fairy first, then add the colours because I found they muddied if I didn't. I don't do that for the wings though, as they should be transluscent, so I use pearlescent for them over the background (if you see what I mean). Doesn't always work though...you have to take care not to over-work them or they look too heavy.

:thumbup; Absolutely beautiful Maria - can I ask what colour you use for the flesh tones? :huggy: Sylvia

Pastel peach, with a bit of pastel cream to highlight, and sometimes pastel blue for shading.
