Last evening, I was on the pooter and it snapped off again (like it has been doing for ages) so I got the waxes out and did this A3 dragon-World pic!

This morning, Chris installed our new pc tower and so far, all is well and it's working beautifully (although it has no A drive, so all our ancient floppy disks are useless!! At least I backed-up a lot of them to CD rom, so all is not lost!) and so far we have had continuous use while everything else was reloaded onto it!

Anyway, here is....

Our pc was turning itself off at least 4 times per day,so yesterday hubby suggested we go and LOOK at new ones.....".Were only looking Jin "he says.

That's what you think,i think to myself!

Two hours later I'm ripping out the old one and installing the new one :D :D :D :D :D

Mind you ,had to set up old one in kitchen on table to take off stuff i needed for this one.......and the flipping thing has not crashed once............( best not tell hubby )

Oh Maria your dragon pic is great :thumbup; Did you do them on silver card? Or white?

Simply stunning Maria.

Those are easilly the best dragon's I've seen so far! You've captured the spiney sharpness so well.

That could easilly be a book cover for a sci-fi book.

Woow this is outstanding :o

I wonder how you do that? I'm not big of a painter and i'm not good in drawing pictures but this looks so mystic that i wonder if there is a place on the net where you can learn such thing? I wish there would be a work shop somewhere :unsure:

Hi M - this is REALLY stunning. :nw: Without doubt - the very best so far. Love the metallicy steel effects and these dragons are something else - not fairytale any more - really mystical and powerful. Almost gothic (?)

Excellent - I'd say...... :thumbup; :thumbup; This will surely take pride of place in the exhibition. Nuff said...

WOW! Considering I only really 'threw' this one together I am stunned by the response. Wasn't considering putting it an exhibition, but I think I will now!

Jinny, this was on A3 white card with no metalic wax at all. Don't know why it looks like silver...trick of the light I guess.

Joanna, no..didn't get this from anywhere other than in my head. Comes of reading and watching a lot of fantasy over the years. This started out as a landscape, which went horribly wrong, then went to abstract and this kind of evolved because suddenly I 'saw' a dragon's lair! Only way to learn this artform is to get a kit and do it!

Thanks for giving me the push I needed to get this one on show too, Terry. Going to get it framed tomorrow!

And if you know of any sci-fi writers looking for illustrators Colin, send 'em my way! :thumbup;

Beautiful, Maria :art: Much darker than usual for you ;)

Joanna, Maria's right on encaustic, but you could join Watercolour Home to get some help in general art (not just watercolour), including some excellent tutorials :thumbup;

Steve :)
