I just had a brain wave people???? For those who like to do fake vellum, why nor spread the oil with your warm encaustic iron, it would be quicker and then you ccan iron it dry???? You'd have mountains of it in just a few minutes. ![]() Poppy This would not affect the iron, unless you got oil inside it, be careful. Because it is warm it will perfume the whole house and will not set fire if you keep it just warm enough to spread and to evaporate the oil. |

Good idea, Poppy One word of caution: if you use aromatic oils (like aromatherapy), do check on what's safe first! Some are dangerous around certain individuals, especially pregnant women! Personally, if I were to do this, I'd have to wear a respirator
I don't react well to chemical scents and there could be some risk of triggering asthma (which I have in a very mild form). As long as you're careful though, I could see this being a great time saver ![]() Steve

I used my hot air tool to dry mine, I did consider using my iron but thought I would more than likely set fire or blow it up! :ph43r:
