Hi, this is my first post. I've recently taken up EA and I'm hooked! This is my first ever attempt and I was amazed - a creature just appeared, complete with forked tongue!!

Sal, that is amazing!! I'm sooooo jealous of your beautiful fluid lines,.. (sounds a bit wrong, but isn't ;)) and the (what looks to me like a) noble and superbly stylised chinese dragon is gorgeous! Welcome to the addiction that is Encaustics... You'll never leave Well done. I'm looking forward to your next piece! x Col!

Thank you all very much for your lovely comments. I've been visiting this board for about a month before plucking up courage to post, and I really appreciate the warmth and advice, and inspiration. Everyone who knows me is stunned that I 'paint with an iron' - as I hate ironing sooooooo much , to the point I became a 'Flybaby' - but that's another story.

Steve : I am living in CHAOS ( Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome) - my excuse is we are in the middle of having a large extension built (a self build), we both work and also run our own business, have 2 small children, an 18 yr old stepson , and I do voluntary work which takes up several hours every week. I do not suffer from 'B.O.' - Born Organised.I came across http://www.flylady.net and am finally getting my household in order!! I now always have a shiny sink!! And some 'me time'. Does that answer your question

I think the most stuff I chucked out came from under my sink, but is you have a look in the general craft section and find my post about does craft take over your house you will see that flylady hasnt quite cured me! better go and shine my sink! mines lovely! NOT!
