Hi all,
Been at it again, found a couple more scenes of the Norfolk Broads I thought might work in wax so had a go... and here they are - both A4, painted with iron and scraper... still no stylus, alas :unsure:

Horning, with Wherry, circa 1980(ish!)

River Ant, at Ludham (near the bridge) circa 1985(ish)

You have found your style! Instantly recognisable as 'you'! Both are great...can't choose between them for a fave. You have hit on a great series of paintings here. Now you should try and get them into local shows...I bet they would sell!

I agree, both are wonderful and instantly recognizable as th Broads.

Am sure with all the boating community around you could easily sell.

Just stunning Di - I'm just so amazed that you're doing all this fine work without a stylus - quite incredible. :nw: :thumbup;

Never been to the Broads myself - so am finding this series very interesting. Can't wait to see where we're off to next - I've got the sunhat at the ready... B)

They are beautiful Di

I'm astonished how you can get that much detail without a stylus.

They're so summery - you had me reaching for my factor 15. :D

If this summer is anything as nice as your pics, I cannot wait!

Thankyou so much for your comments everyone, it's great to have a bit of encouragement. :thumbup; I do intend to try and sell some of my paintings, but at the moment don't have much idea of how to go about it :unsure: :blink: :r :r

Keep a look out for local art exhibitions in aid of charity. A lot of churches hold them at bank holidays etc. Your local library might be able to help...keep a look-out for posters and in the local press. Failing that, there's always good old Ebay! Works well enough for me anyway!

Thankyou for that Maria, I'll certainly bear that in mind. As far as E-bay goes, the problem i have with that is that most of my pictures are framed,[including glass], and i'm not sure about how they'd survive intact, or postage costs. :unsure: :D :D

I usually sell mine with mounts but no frames. Tried selling framed work, but because the postage is higher for these it put buyers off. Worth saving your best and biggest for exhibiting and maybe the smaller stuff would sell on Ebay? Just a thought!
