Jinny sent me some gorgeous encaustics I want to hang up, silly question but can I put these in a normal frame or should they be without glass and if there is glass will they stick to it or melt? I love them I dont' want to wreck them. Any advice appreciated!

Hello Virginia,
Kep the wax away from the glass surface if there is one.

Most of frame our encaustics (that are done on card) like a watercolour.
i.e. in a mount (mat) first and then in a frame with glass; the mount stops the wax touching the glass.

It's best not to put them in a clip frame with no mount as where the highpoints of the wax surface contact the glass, there'll be pressure and the wax will flatten out leaving a flat reflective area.
