ok so last night I tried the filligree.....well I used soft clay and an extruder simular to the type used for playdough, I made long squiggles and sort of piped them in the mold....

its in the damp cupboard and I will take it out next week and have a looky see what its like! its a bit of an experiment! :D

I removed the bowl from the mold that I decorated with slip, tided the edges and its now drying ready for fireing...... Im wondering how bright the colours will come up! now you can see the bright yellow slip that looked like custard that I mentioned in my last post!

this week the teacher brought us some crank clay, it has alot of grit in it, its fantastic for moldeling, I did a quick female figure, (pictures abit blured im afraid!)

Im deffinatley going to have to buy some of that clay its lovely to work with! even is mags thought that my figure looked like a female morph! ( who remembers morph? lol)

the cabage bowl is in the kiln so it will be ready for glazing as long as it stays in one piece! :crossed:
