This is a house in our town. It was built in the 1860's. I decided to use scraps of watercolour paper that I had sprayed paint all over.

Superb, Virginia :art: This makes me think of the house in "The Magician's Nephew" for some reason :thumbup;

That's the best compliment you could have given me Steve! :lol: unfortunatley the real one has a nasty seventies carport in front of it, ick.
Jen I do do animals occasionally I seem to go in circles, right now I'm on buildings but I'll be back to animals soon. Poppy I think everything around here at that time was pretty much copied from the English. One day I want to redo the outside of my house and put back the gingerbread moldings, I have a small piece in the garage, enough left to make a good pattern for the rest of the house I think.
Thanks all!

Heathens! :o :faint: Why cover up any part of such a beautiful house? :wacko: I'm sure they could have done something better - say a nice, bright blue tarpaulin :r Hope when you do restore the gingerbread mouldings they don't go all soft in the rain, Virginia ;) :r

:r Steve! You should see my next door neighbours house, it's a pretty little Victorian with the peaked roofs and all and they sided it with a bright baby blue! I swear it gives me a headache looking at it.

Virginia, the traditional colour for cottages in Suffolk is pink :D

The alternative is flint:

Both are actually very pretty - in the right settings ;) :lol:

I really can't think why anybody would paint a house blue :eek: Mind you, we have our oddities, like the famous folly The House In The Clouds:
