Got the gear out to do a bit of fine work on a new fairy pic this morning, picked up the stylus and.....

DEAD!

It was stone cold! :o Tried changing the fuse, but it was still stone cold so I had to order a new one (thanks Barry!) and resort to iron-only work. The fairy will have to wait! I'm pretty lost without the thing though.....but I guess the old one had a lot of use over the 18 months since I got started with EA, so it probably just said 'enough' and died!

Anyway, this A3 is the result of pent up frustration at not being able to do what I intended! Sorry about the join...just pretend it isn't there! :lol:

What join? (pretends)

That's lovely Maria,... You have such a way with the wax.

It has a wonderful marble like quality and the irridesence in the 'spines' is superb.

:thumbup;

BTW: Bad luck on the stylus,.. I'd hate to be without mine!

Thanks Colin. Having just looked at this scan again.....it's TERRIBLE! :lol: It's lost all it's depth and colour compared to the original! Might re-scan it and see if that helps.

As to the stylus.....feels like I lost an arm or something :( But Barry is putting a new one in the post to me on Monday, so all hail the Waxman! :thumbup;

:eek: Dead stylus? :faint: It's just not allowed! :o

The pic certainly provides a great view of an unhappy, frustrated Maria, or should that be a "miffed mifmif"? :D ;)

Steve :)

Thanks everyone! I only just noticed the pointing finger in the bottom right corner! Funny how you perceive things when you go back for another look.

And you are so right Jo.....the more emotionsl you are, the better the end result is where abstract is concerned.
