Hi Mif - Willow was semi wild when we rescued her - deffo not a sit on the lap cat - so you're not missing much - and all that lovely wildlife is definately a consolation....

Hope you're feeling a bit better today...oh dear :(

Oh thanks Di - that's really nice of you - you're not so bad yourself :thumbup; :thumbup; ;)

So much for hosepipe bans - absolutely tipping it down here...... :( :(

As we seem to be doing "Springwatch" I thought i would add my bit... we have or House Martins nesting under the eaves at the back.... my Jet,(GSDXCollie)...just loves sitting in the middle of the garden in the mornings watching them all going back and forth... my attached neighbour has 2 nests .. we have lots of noise till september when they all go... what is funny though is when the "visitors" arrive each tyear our resident Sparrows get quite upset and fight them for the nests!!!

I love the birds .... love cats also but cant eat a whole one!!! (joking!)

I have loads of little Sparrows in my front garden outside my kitchen window and where they put all the food i dont know !!!

Hi Jen - (thanks ;) ) yep we have loads of sparrows too - and 2 magpies and blackbirds and of course seagulls - interesting'ish fact - seagulls will kill a small animal and peck humans into submission if anyone dares go near their nests - but if hungry - will eat their young....

Hmmmmm- just off to cook lunch then   :em:

I do love watching them all come to have a bathe in the top layer of the waterfall (loosely termed, nothing that spectacular) - they go mad......shower gel, loofah - the lot............

Love x

Oh how lovely - it's always special when real wildlife want to get close.......unless it's a black rhino of course (you just can't seem to get that stripey lawn effect once one has tiptoed across your garden eh - well, that's what I found anyway  )

This is Max for those who haven't met him (you asked the wrong person about her dog I could go on for hours  ). He's a newfie/collie mix. he's currently recovering from cancer. Those are my cats one in each photo. Excuse the fur covered carpet!

Did anyone see the 'Carefulls' on Springwatch on BH Monday?

I just have to say that this pic captures the looks of the babies even more realisticly than I previously thought!

Clever you Terry!

You should hear the noise our little *careful!* make when mum & dad come to feed them! They must be fledging soon I reckon!

Springwatch is on for 3 weeks this year too! I'm SO pleased they have otters this year! And did you see that wonderful jackdaw family?

The Great carefuls........bless..... and the otters....wonder what this nest of little ugly carefuls is going to be tonight - they're very young, would it be sparrows - place bets now.....

Must say I love the mouse story/saga. I'm wondering whether I could take a decent photo off the telly of a close up of their little faces and waxpic it.....Will give it a go......

Kate Humble seemed a bit strained yesterday.....dont think I'll be doing a waxpic close up of her face......

Bill Oddie Rocks :thumbup; :thumbup; :thumbup;

You're so lucky M - having real life SW in your garden....

Anyone else watching Springwatch??????

Love x  oh - thanks Col, the front little bluecareful had his mouth open just the same didn't he.....how sweet are they.....
