I've had this idea in my head for a while so today I finally got round to painting it. Wanted to do something with toadstools as I haven't tried painting them before, so I incorporated a fairy as well and this is the result.

Marvellous, Maria :art: The toadstools are tremendous :thumbup; Saw some like that one year near a local Sainsbury's garage :D No fairies though - probably too much traffic about ;)

Col, :r I think if you made an omelette with those fungi you'd end up with rather more than mere indigestion! Bit deadly, they are!

Mind you...you might get a few good hallucinations! :r

Maria, it's beautiful. There is no way I could do figures anywhere near as good as yours so I scrutinise your trees and background for inspiration - they're always so detailed.

:thumbup; :thumbup; Superb Maria, I'd love to know how you get an idea and manage to implement it int his medium. I get ideas, but the iron doesn't recognise them! :huggy:  Sylvia

 Me too, Sylvia! If you ever find out, could you tell me? :r

Seriously, what usually happens is that I get a picture, feeling, whatever it is that inspires me at the time, running round my head and I mull it over sometimes for days/weeks, till I sort out what I want to do, and how it could possibly be achieved, then just go for it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it takes several attempts. The only thing I will say is that you just have to keep trying new ways, new ideas and throw away all the rule-books and do it YOUR way!

Practice is everything!
