I cant believe we only have one more class! it starts back in september! this is the finished bowl, my very first hand thrown bowl! ![]() the picture of me throwing it is in the other thread, I burnished it with a spoon when it was leather hard, it was fired and then polished with bees wax, it feels so smooth, its the sort of thing you need to pick up and sniff and feel to apreciate fully, but maybe the pic will give you some idea! this is the finished feathered slip plate, clear glazed and on display with the other plates i made this term... ![]() i have made two masks using a mould, one in craft crank which has a really rough texture and one in red marl which is a red clay with a lovely sandy texture, both have been glazed and are in the kiln as we speak! I shall be bringing them home next week all being well!

Great work, Catherine I can imagine a beehive pot being done the same way as you describe your pot
The plate looks great Lots of texture
Hope we'll be seeing pics of your masks next week Now, until September, can I assume we'll find you in the local claypits? ![]() Steve
