Sounds like it could be a tough day if the weather is a bit iffy, and if it's too hot, wax paintings would start to melt! Think I might decline the offer of this one! Maria x |

Personally, I never attend any outdoor events not even if gazebos are provided. Sometimes I'll appear at marquee events but I really prefer solid walls and a roof. |

Very wise Barry, I end up chasing my cards when it's gazebos only events!! Still if it's raining the sales could go up for wax paintings, it will prove they're waterproof and therefore suitable for bathroom walls? Poppy

I must admit to some doubts Felixstowe can get some wild weather in September
The disintegrating prom could also make things interesting Might go and take a look, though, to see just how it's set up

Outside on the prom,, I think NOT
I did once do a marquee event,, and I have since learnt from my mistakes ! * no electricity so I couldnt demonstrate and keep myself busy * it rained all weekend and although thankfully no water came in over my area, it did over others stands, and the ground literally turned to mud * and the few people that did go to the event were just are the wrong audience for my work ...... I got very tired of watching them buy themselves a cushion I only ever do events that are indoors and have electricity and free demo space. |

Very wise Ros. I did an event in a marquee last month, the person selling hand made soap had some of his stock melted it was so hot. I was at the back demonstrating Encaustic Art making bookmarks with the stylus. ( I had eelectricity as it was a village affair). I had this idea to mix the melted scented soap with encaustic wax and invented the scented wax bookmark. Thw smell of heated scented soap sent everyone buying the book marks and the scented soap also, The nam was impressed and wanted to buy a stylus and wax's so he could make gift tags to go with his soaps sets?. ( I gave him one of Barry's order forms)! Poppy
