I love them Virginia, do you do them freehand or use a stencil or something, they are really effective and I would love to have a go in Wax...

Glad you approve Jenny! :D

Sally I do them freehand, like this one for instance with a pencil I drew an oval and some lines to indicate the body and legs so I could place it properly. I tend to draw freehand cause if I have an idea in my head I will lose it if I try to concentrate too hard if that makes sense. Then I fill it in with ink using a very fine drafting pen for the outline then I erase the pencil (if you wait to erase with ink till the end then some of the ink will come off on your eraser and you will have to reink) then whatever size pen is appropriate for the inside, I use ink because markers tend to turn a bluish indigo after time passes. I use my old drafting pens, they're very accurate. I was using some gel ink pens but am finding the ones I did even last year are fading badly so i use them for sketching only now. (the drafting pens are great but they're a pain to fill! I end up with ink stains on my hands)
I have done stencils for friends and told them to simply blow them up to whatever size they want and use carbon paper to copy them. The only problem with that is because this is so small when you blow it up you'll see all the mistakes I made  , if you want to use it as a general outline please go ahead though. I'd like to see it in wax! A great place to find designs or get ideas for designs, especially for traditional unicorns or dragons is old vintage patterns, embroidery or the filet crochet ones like the deer I'm doing. (or procrastinating doing now I'm having fun with these  )
I'd love to see this dragon in wax,

Man that's a long winded explanation! :huggy: Thanks for all the lovely comments!
