Thanks, Jo. It's certainly going to be a busy week! Got about 10 paintings to get framed! :groan I'm hoping to have about 30 on show, but there may be more....I don't know....all depends on what space they have to offer.

:thumbup; Thanks Steve.

I went to have a look at the display area today and it's super! There's a little café in the corner now, so people will be able to sit and look at the paintings as they have a coffee!

I will be getting the posters sorted out fairly soon (Chris is going to get a batch printed up for me at work) so as soon as I have them I'll send them off to you!

Oh well...today is the day I go hang! :r

Chris and I are off to set up the exhibition this morning! 34 paintings in total, so a lot to do! Hopefully, it shouldn't take too long to sort out. My walls here look really bare now though! :lol:

I had a nightmare the other night where we were hanging all the paintings and they all kept falling off the display boards! :rolleyes: Hope that doesn't happen today! :groan

Anyway, as soon as I have some photos, I'll post them here! :thumbup;

Good luck, Maria.
If they're still using those velcro-supported hooks make sure that the velcro is stapled to the wooden bit then pull down quite hard as you attach the velcro to the boards. It's surprising how well they hold (as long as the staples are there).

I did have one fall and break the glass but that was before they thought of the staples!

Have they asked you to supply a comments book?

Thank-you everyone!

Well, we spent a couple of hours setting everything up and it all went very smoothly!

Barry, they gave me rods and hooks, which were very easy to use, though I used velcro for the posters.

It was kind of a trip down memory lane for both myself and Chris, since we both used to work there when we first met, and there are still a few old faces that were there back then too, so Chris spent the first half an hour having to stop and chat to various people, while I rushed about getting on with the hanging! :lol:

Anyhow, as I said, it all went very well and here are a couple of pics to prove it:

I did take a few more, but my camera chose that time to act up, so these are the only ones that came out. Emily wants to go and have a look at the exhibition tomorrow, so I shall take a few more pics (or get her to do it!) then.

I must say, it's wonderful to see all my paintings displayed like this! Still can't quite believe it. Would be great if one or two sold, but hey....this is just brilliant in it's own right!

But, you never know...several people stopped me to pass comment, most of which was very favourable...so we'll see! ;)
