LOL!! What a really cheery pic Jen,.. Well done you! The whales are fantastic, but the Seals (walruses?) in the forground are really cute as well. (please tell me I'm not seeing things?) I have to say that I do admire all Encaustic pics that I see, as I really couldn't get my head around using the iron, and then found myself pretty much exclusively using the stylus 'because it behaved like a brush' Then thought I'd try WC and actually use a brush, and found it much easier.. but that's just me being odd I guess. Thanks for making me smile tonight when seeing this great pic... x Col! |

Kim ... glad you liked it.....Col.... Glad it made you smile.... I wish i could remember how i did it !! am pretty chuffed with producing a pic that actually looks like something!!!! I get days when i just cant do it and I think you need to keep at it ... Jin has taught me some good techniques while I have been staying with her this week though .... just have to remember them ... loads to learn still Col........ I also love the water colour work .. tried a little acrylic too but I think WC is my fav..... Been trying to get back into parchment work ,(it has been years!)... I even knitted a scarf before I went to Jins..... Its a fab day today here in Wilts and I have 8 trees waiting to be planted and 70 early pea plants!!! just hope weather holds for me , off to quick shop now first though , got to be done!!!! Craft shop here I come!!! take care Col, love Jenx |

Martine, All I can say is keep practicing and you will surprise yourself you`ll see.... as I said I get days where I just cant produce anything much at all .. i think you have to be `in the mood` for it.... I must say that when I am in the mood for waxing I do enjoy it as I find it relaxing. Keep at it is all I can say .... I was someone who could not even draw stick men at school but I have found I can now draw and paint, its amazing and I am sooo chuffed!! You will be too , Jenx |
