this was an experiment with colouring stoneware clay, I used some underglaze powder mixed into a paste and then kneeded into the clay to get the 3 different colours......I used a blue, a green and a black and got......grey, greyer and greyerist! well I still like the effect, the larger bowl was made by rolling the different colours into long sausages and twisting them together and then rolling flat and pressing sections into a mould, the smaller one in the middle was done with small balls of clay pressed into a mould.....they came out well, some are all swirly and some are speckled....Im going to do a larger one with black yellow and normal clay next week! lets see what colours they come out! ( part of the reason why the colours didnt work is that I didnt know how much colour to put into the clay and the teacher would walk past me and say how expensive the colour are......yer cheers teach! thats sooo helpfull!!!!!)
