hi everyone, well It was a near disaster, some kid broke into the art room at the collage we have our class in, then broke into the locked kiln room, and turned the kiln off half way through a firing :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

luckily the cross was half fired, and actually I like the affect, its not as shiny and new looking. The Glass nuggets I put in the round cross head havent mealted fully, and there is a bit of bloom where the glaze hasn't melted propery, but I think it adds age ;)

so its gone from this

:nw: :nw: :nw: That is fantastic, it has fired so well. You must be feeling very pleased.
How awful that someone broke in and did that, but as you said it hasn't spoiled it.
What size is the cross?

personaly I think it was the art teacher, she has had her nose put well and truly out of joint, no doubt the pottery teacher has been just as offensive to her as he was to me in the past......luckily for us the items can all be refired.

I think that looks really good as it is. A happy little accident as Bob Ross would say :D :thumbup; :thumbup;
