This is the front & side garden leading to the cottage side garden. Taken a couple of years ago.

Again this is from about 5 years ago, it has eveolved a lot since then. The Lilac tree in the island bed is just glorious now, full of budding flowers, i have never seen it so full.
Having a garden to 3 sides takes a lot of gardening as you know Sally. I couldn't do much for the past 2 years because of my ankle, but I will HAVE to get back into lots of gardening to keep on top of it all again.

Gardening is such hard work, but soo rewarding in the summer when we can sit and enjoy them :D

Ours wasnt too bad this year, hubby spent a whole week on it and we have both been out there over the weekends and it is looking really nice, just the odd job here and there to do and then we just have to wait for it all to come into flower :thumbup;

That's the best part, the relaxing and looking at the flowers. I love to sit and paint at the back under the buddliea. No one can see me sheltered there. :thumbup;

Poppy last year I even waxed on the back garden, used the extension lead and set myself up on the patio table, was a bit of a bind setting it all up but lovely to be out in the open waxing - idyllic :thumbup;
