I chickened out of buying from the USA, even though the rates seemed good1 I choose a firm in the UK and received my stamps really quickly.
At last I found time to stamp, so this is an entry in another competition on another site!

My first attempt at using the lovely little peg stamps.

Hello Jo

Your card is really dainty and delicate looking :D
Can you explain what a peg stamp is please? It has been far too long since I have crafted :r :r :r

Did you watercolour them too?

Cheers

Lovely card Jo, i love using my tapestry stamps. I sometimes use thicker water colour to stamp mine , amazing how different they look when done like that.

Jinny - the peg stamps were bought as a kit and there are several round, like doweling "pegs" with the little stamp attached at the one end. There is a line on the side you can line them up to put the leaf in the right direction.
If you can't picture them let me know and I'll take a photo!
Thanks for the tip Poppy, I wouldn't have thought of using watercolours.

Jinny I nearly forgot, as the stamps are all individual you build up the pattern and use different coloured ink pads. I suppose you could use black, emboss and then paint them.

you can also get these in clear unmounted with a cylindrical stamping tube/ block, same idea but it helps if you want to line them up. I tend to just use a more random approach!

I wonder if you could use wax?

I wouldn't chance it Sally, you would seriously ruin the stamp if you did that with wax. ( some people use other stamps with wax) You can of course stamp in stazon and then iron over the images?

Poppy I have got a boxful of stamps and I have used most of them for waxing, they seem to be okay :thumbup;

I even have a heavy rubber border roller with a leaf design all over it and it is perfect for waxing :thumbup;
