Well, What awful Bank Holiday weather we are having???? My poor garden has been ravaged by the terrific winds we had last night... pots blew around and I am scared to go out and look! Actually we had rain ALL day and night and it is still raining this morning, although not so heavy and not quite so blowy, thankd goodness!! G/house looks to be in one piece and the rocky fence at the bottom is still partially up , ( just had a look and our little fence is down so now we have to go to plan B) amazingly!!

I hope you good peeps are having a fun weekend and doing what you can in this miserable weather... just thought of poor Catherine and her fammily on hols in cornwall... hope they are not to drowned down there..

I have to get dressed to take Jet out in about an hour so better finish up!

Morning Jen

We are having awful weather atm, it hasnt stopped raining yet, the wind isnt too bad :ctossed: and the garden looks amazing for it :thumbup;

We had a great day yesterday with Annette (butterfly) and today was planning on gardening, dont think there is much hope there so it looks like I may have to do some crafts ;)

Poor dogs dont like the wet weather at all and its a job getting them outside just for a wee wee :groan

I wonder if there are any decent films on this arvo, could get on the sofa with a nice blanket and chocs :thumbup;

Have a good day whatever you are doing :wave:

Jen I did have a lie in this morning, which is very unusual for me, we have had noisy neighbour problems, havnt had much sleep over the weekend, if it continues I am going to have to complain or get the police in... its getting ridiculous.

I will pm you tomorrow night about chat, but I am not sure if I will get on much tomorrow as we have a busy day planned..

Hope you dont get too drenched on your walk, its just stopped raining here now and hubby reckons hes off out in the garden to get some planting done as my seeds in the greenhouse desperately need to get into the ground now :thumbup;

Hubby has hidden all the cards, as soon as postie drops them through the door he is there holding his hand out :lol: He doesnt trust me peeking :lol: I must admit I was terrible when I was younger but I dont tend to peep anymore - well not much ;)

As for the neighbour, she will get her commuppance! (sp) :blink:

Morning Sally and Jen, i think it's a lazy day for me unles i tidy up my craft room again!
We have had loads of rain and winds too but nothing like you have had down there? I have clematis that has blown over, that's all. I can soon stand it up again it's only in a pot.

Beautiful piccies of Rhodedendron and Rose, my faves. The weigeila looks healthy too, i find they spread out all over the place if your not careful.
have agreta day today.

Gorgeous Jen I have some rhodederons planted but the new leaves are very light coloured compared to the older ones, are they supposed to be like that?

V ....

New leaves are quite often lighter with a lot of plants and darken as they get older but did you know they are acid loving plants and need ericacious compost if planting in pots or if your soil is neutral ph you will need to add ericacious food... hope this helps ... let me know if I can hellp you any further V,

Thanks Jen, I think Ill add some of that compost stuff, them seem to staying light and I dont' think the soil there is very acidic, one of them I planted where I removed some junipers from and that one is doing really well, it's the other in the "good" soil that is so light.
