hi all, this is the first egg from my clever chickens, not sure which one layed it :blink:

the small one is my chucks, the other one is a med sized free range shop brought egg, needless to say, I wont be needing to buy them again :thumbup;


my chickens eggs are slightly different in colour, one is laying eggs lightly paler :eek:

My stepson and wife had a few chickens years ago , and we had lovely fresh eggs every week ... cant beat them can you ??

I am so envious as i would love to have some laying hens,

Excellent, Mags :thumbup; Fresh is best - and you can get different results according to what you feed them, too ;)

Has anybody else noticed how thin the shells are on supermarket eggs these days? :wacko:

hi jen, at the moment I get one egg a day, soon they will both lay together.

I wouldn't say I noticed that they tasted different, may be they would if I had a boiled egg or some scrambled, its the colour of the yolk thats sssooooo different from shop brought eggs. :thumbup;
