Can anyone tell me when and how I take cuttings of lavender, passion flower, clematis, honeysuckle and fuchsias - not a lot then I am trying to get my garden looking nice (at least something I'm not ashamed to be seen going in to ). I have started, my daughter trimmed one hedge and my son is busy pulling up another hedge - he's done one already
These plants are all ones that my mum has got and I intend errr, pinching cuttings of them I used tohave a beautiful passion flower but some idiot stole the arch it was growing over so I had to move the plant and I think I killed it

I think you would be safe to take softwood cuttings with a sharp knife any time around now.. hormone rooting powder is good if you dip cuttings in to it then plant up... I have just got some cuttings in a little water hoping they will root. What part of Plymouth do you live in Sharon?? We used to live in Manadon You dont have to say if you dont want to I will understand Are you local ?? I am a Torbay girl, Jenx |

I used to walk through Brake Farm to Whitleigh when I lived at Manadon to visit my son when he was with his wife.. We moved from there in 98..... We miss walking our dogs in Whitley woods and at Central Park ... How strange you live there and we know it so well?? Jenx |

We can walk our dogs where the naval training place used to be as they've pulled it down
there's loads of 'easy affordable' houses there now that are hugely expensive I used to live in Crownhill (Rothesay Gardens) from 1988 until we moved here 2002 so I wonder how may times we've walked past each other and not known? and I used to visit a friend of mine in Whitleigh too Kayleigh has just got Kyra on the list to go to Chaucer school
