Does not work... He tried to put pie plates on the bird feeder to stop the squirrel from climbing the pole. Being a squirrel he jumped down from the tree. M's expression was priceless

This one is a pretty big guy for a squirrel. I love watching the squirrels, we have red ones too but they're quite a lot smaller and about twice as mouthy. The black squirrels in Niagara Falls, where I lived for years are so tame they walk right up to the tourists, I could never figure out why people took so many photos of them, I didn't realize they weren't common,

Typical squirrels! My children used to love chasing them from the bird feeders when we stayed at my sisters and whatever type of squirrel proof feeders they bought never worked as they are so ingenious! <_< Have to admit I love the red ones too and my daughter feeds hers as well as the birds! If there are no nuts out and the door is open the cheeky things go inside to the bag!

![]() We used to have hordes of squirrels around here, but lots were lost after poison was put down against rats in the local park They're very difficult to defeat permanently
Most devices use "tumblers" of some kind, so that they don't have a surface they can cling too

Fab picture We have a family of squirrels here and they are cheeky little devils. I've given up trying to stop them pinching the bird food. They all need to eat, after all! Ours love digestive biscuits and I once saw our male squirrel up in the tree holding a whole bisuit in his paws. Looked very comical!
