This is my very first Oriental fan card, made on the keepsake Embossing board. The paper is authentic Japanese sent to me 2 years ago from Thea ( encaustic forum). I have done it onto Silver mirri card.
These are SOOOOOOOO easy to make, i think i will be experimenting further with these cards? :thumbup;

Thankyou Sally, jen and Jinny for your lovely comments. :thumbup;

Jinny, No i didn't like the dress to impress one at all. I thought i didn't like this one, but it turns out not too bad and very easy to do.

On the reverse of the fan board( that's what you wanted to know Jinny, isn't it?) Is a butterfly in 3 sizes, that's not too interesting and doesn't appeal to me either. I think that is why i put off using thia board for so long.
One thing i am sure of is, this card looks far better with mirri card as a backing, i have also done it with pearl card and it looks nothing as stunning as it does with mirri card.
I made 3 more last night!!!! :thumbup;

:thumbup; Lovely card Poppy. It's a shame that it always seems to be one side is great and the other not so good on the keepsake boards!
Bookatrix is my favourite.

Thankyou Steve , Jo and Willow. :thumbup;
Ooooooooo don't have any birthdays in mind to send it too Willow? i will probably take it to the beginners workshop next week to show what can be made. :thumbup;
Jo, The Bookatrix has an interesting bookmark on the back. I do these all the time and put encaustic, one stroke painting, and all sorts onto them. they are stunning when done like that and a threaded top ribbon.
The Romance board has got some interesting shapes on the back also, like the christmas tree, that makes a nice gatefolded card on the front with the tree over lapping.
Cheers Poppy

Yeah I don't know what was wrong with them, it really is more beautiful in real life? They just were not bothered about how to prompt peeps into buying the fan card board at all? Mind you they didn't have any oriental paper to do it with? :r
